The system is RP based, meaning your attacks must be written out and in detail. You have to say what action you did for it to be valid.
The stage of battling is a free roam, open area place. No limits are imposed unless stated otherwise.
You are given three actions a turn, to either use a chip, one of you attacks, not do anything, or skip the whole turn in order to charge up your buster. If that's the case, no other actions can occur. After doing your RP post, as well as stating what you did, post up your stats, and that of your opponent's too, with amount of damage that may occur to them. They could pull something off in order to avoid taking damage.
About dodging/blocking: keep this within reason. No dodging every single attack which comes your way, or use one attack to block a whole turn of attacks. Dodging from point-blank is another no too. Remember, staff will be watching to see if none of this comes about.
Example Battle:
Navi 1 rushes forward, as his arm changes into a cannon. Raising it, he aims it his opponent and fires off a blast. His other arm changes into a buster, and he fires off a bullet. Nearing his opponent, he slashes with a cyber sword at about 3 feet away.

Bringing up another cannon arm, he fires off a shot.
